Delta Alert Level Two means that it is possible for us to gather for worship under certain restrictions. After meeting on site today at the Bowling Club with the wardens, we have decided that we will resume in-person worship this coming Sunday 12 September at the normal time of 10.30 am. The following arrangements will apply until we drop down to alert level 1:
- We will meet in the larger hall in separate bubbles seated at socially distanced individual tables.
- Mask wearing is required. Disposable masks will be available for those who don’t have their own.
- Everyone must sign in on entry using either the Covid Tracer App, or in writing.
- Hands must be sanitised on entry.
- Some windows will be opened to create an air flow, so dress warmly if it is a cold that day.
- Communion will be served on separate plates to be retrieved one at a time by one member per bubble for those at their table.
- Morning tea plates will be prepared for each bubble to retrieve for their table. Drinks will be served on the trolley, one bubble at a time.
- The sermon will be recorded and made available on YouTube and Facebook.
Although some may experience these arrangements as unnatural and restrictive, they are necessary for us to comply with Government and Diocesan requirements. We are of the opinion that meeting in person is preferable to meeting online.
